Powis VR Headset Review

This is the second generation of Powis VR viewer and I have to say, it’s very good, even surprisingly good set of goggles. They look and feel better than the previous version at first glance.

Powis VR Headset Review

It’s a cardboard-based viewer, improved, and better than the first version the company produced. The Powis VR headset is very light, and its ergonomic design very comfortable, the rubber edge which is quite smooth, feels wonderful on the face, protecting the device from stains and sweat while the weight is kept at minimum.

It features adjustable lenses, which help you if you’re far/near-sighted or even have astigmatism, providing a better viewing experience.

There is a head strap option available, it’s a big improvement from the previous Powis version. With $5 you have a hands-free experience.

The drawback is: if you have large phone, it might not be compatible with Powis, as it will not fit. I have to say, its works with most smartphones: 4 to 6 inch.

Being more durable than the average cardboard goggles, the general appearance and design are very superior. Powis, offers an additional option or upgrade, if you’re looking for a slicker-looking viewer.

Spend an extra $10 USD, and you get the Tan Pebble or Red Alligator edition, each is unique in its own way, and features an extra skin making it very stylish.

This newer version of the Powis VR headset features an air vent, which in my opinion is important.

Conclusion

The Powis, latest edition, is probably the best-looking cardboard-based VR viewer around the Internet. It’s durable, but incredibly light in weight. It has different aesthetic options and adjustable optics, which you won’t find with other goggles, in this Cardboard category. Now… you cannot beat that.
